Wollongong Liquor Accord

The liquor accord strategy is a government led initiative driven and supported by the NSW Office of Liquor, Gaming and racing, Police Service and the liquor industry. The first formal accord was implemented in New South Wales at Kings Cross in June 1998.
Membership of the Accord is voluntary and includes local liquor licensees, the NSW Police, Wollongong Council, the NSW Government Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing and other community organisations.
The Wollongong Local Area Command Licensed Premises Accord was officially launched at [insert content] on [insert content] by the Hon [insert content] of NSW and has developed into a strong and proactive group within the community.
The Wollongong Licensed Premises Accord provides a strong foundation to enhance and promote communication amongst all stakeholders in the community to proactively address ways to improve the operation of licensed venues so that venues and precincts are safe and enjoyable environments for both residents and visitors.
The Accord welcomes membership from all liquor license holders: clubs, hotels, bottle shops, cafes, restaurants, small bars and function and event venues.
